Although the environment and service were second to none, we found the food itself lacking compared to its price point. This is not to suggest that the scallops I ordered weren't superb (they were), only to note that my lady and I expected a greater "wow factor" based on the reviews we'd read and the cost of the meal. I may return at a later date, but if I do, I'll be careful to lower my expectations.

Breakfast was great. The Petit Dejeuner was anything but petite, and they were willing to change the fruit selection to accommodate my wife's dislike of melon. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, but my only complaints is that they skimped on the gravy. The biscuits should be almost drowning in gravy, not just adorned with gravy.

I only ate breakfast but it was Phenomenal! Absolutely perfect ! fresh juices & coffee . House made sausage, biscuits with blueberry jam, cheese grits & spicy salsa. All perfect! Ryan was a great & pleasant server. I would love to go back for dinner and I will request him. Complimentary WSJ and other papers to enjoy in the morning,

Outstanding in every respect. Attention to detail shows in salt and pepper grinders along with beautiful flowers on table; butter not only fresh, but also soft. Fresh, modern decor is complementary to the historic Capital Hotel. Superb service by knowledgeable, attentive staff. We enjoyed appetizers, entrees, and desserts--all prepared with the finest ingredients. Excellent wines including by the glass offerings. A bit pricey perhaps, but value is expertly delivered.

My friend and I decide to mark our one year anniversary of our meeting in Paris by grabbing a drink here, having no idea that it is ran by a French sommelier, two French chefs, and a French restaurant manager! It was superb. The cheese was stinky, runny and moldy the way it should be! The cocktails and champagne had bubbles for days! The shrimp Cobb salad was a revelation and the best Cobb I'd ever tasted. Would go here a million times if I could! The bartender and fellow bar goers were wonderful and friendly and we had a ball!

I was really impressed with the new decor from their big makeover, so I had wanted to eat here for a while. I made a reservation in advance, but I bet I didn't need to. I feel like there were a couple empty tables for the duration of our visit. The demographic was probably our parents age, and we're 35, so... This was Friday night at 6:30. The big red flag was at the bar where we sat down to have a drink and wait for our friends. I saw there were no beers on draft. The bar tender advised that since they weren't busy, they could go across the lobby to the grill side and get draft beer for me. Yikes. The fanciest place in town's bar doesn't have draft beer. It's also shocking during the local beer boom that's going on in town these days. Testing out local craft beers is the new spectator sport and this extremely nice restaurant with SO MUCH PUBLICITY isn't helping me be a part of this. The bottle selection wasn't representative of the local beer boom either. My husband mistakenly was looking at the drink menu for the grill, so his choice was shot down and he needed to open a new menu and choose from the One Eleven side's menu. He made a hasty choice and ended up with a very tall, very pink drink in an awkwardly skinny glass with two huge mint leaves for garnish. He asked how he was supposed to drink this and I advised he smash the leaves down into the pink slush. Anyway- The menu was brief. There were no lengthy descriptions of the food. We asked if there were specials and got an answer that left us hanging. The vegetable of the day was the thrill of garbanzo beans. We all ordered meat-intensive dishes and several sides. The guys at the table were left hungry. My short rib was too much food for a lady, but my husband was happy to help me out. We shared desserts, after-dinner drinks and as we were paying our bill, it dawned on us that perhaps the waiter was summoning our vehicles from the valet. We hadn't discussed this, so we felt like we were being kicked out. We still had pretty full drinks so we continued to talk and visit. Our cars were lonely on the curb and we didn't see our waitress again. I got the genius idea to just walk over to the grill side. We had more drinks and our cars were put away. Long story short- Just eat at the grill. I'm kind-of glad my curiosity about One Eleven has been stamped out, but no one in our party left feeling any need to come back. I think the food was delicious and wonderful, but the awkward service is what's stamped in my mind.

The food at One Eleven is excellent - fresh and expertly prepared. I miss the focus on local ingredients that defined its predecessor, Ashley's, but couldn't really find any fault with any of the dishes. I started with the tuna tartare which was quite tasty, if just on the verge of being too salty. However, they didn't cross the salt line, and I thoroughly enjoyed the dish. My husband ordered the cheese plate, and here comes my first quibble: in a restaurant of this quality and price point, I would expect the server to be thoroughly versed in what I'm eating. When my husband asked our server to identify each of the cheeses, he could only confidently identify three of them, and couldn't tell us more than "that's a blue cheese, guyuere." Another thing to keep in mind is that the menu describes the entire dish - my husband's plate only had steak. No starch, no vegetable. Again, I would have expected a better server to explain and ask if he wanted to order a side dish. To sum up, good, but I expected great.

Top notch food, service and atmosphere. I had a great omelet on a Sunday morning and will go back next time I'm in town.

A recent work trip brought me all the way to the great state of Arkansas. I journeyed from Los Angeles with my British boss and, needless to say, we had a great time. Our first three nights were in Downtown Little Rock, less than a mile from the capital and right in the hoppin' part of the city. We enjoyed the sights and sounds, as well as the healthy dose of historic buildings to feast our eyes upon.... My boss treated me to an early birthday dinner at a restaurant that was walking distance from our hotel. One Eleven at the Capital did not disappoint. It was recently opened as an additional restaurant option at The Capital Hotel. The open feel of the restaurant and clean, yet historic details inside instantly peaked my interest. We got there around 6:30 without a reservation and they were able to get us a table (my feeling is that we were extremely fortunate and our timing was impeccable). Started off with a nice glass of Viognier (whenever I actually see this wine on the menu, I have to get it!) and then jumped into my first course: Crab Cake with Coleslaw. The consistency of the Crab Cake was less fried and more fresh. The crab must have been caught that day. Yum-my! My main course was the Seared Divers Scallops with Sun-Dried Tomatoes. The scallops were cooked to perfection and paired with delicious, farm-fresh vegetables. Portion size was also just right. It shouldn't surprise you that dessert followed my meal at One Eleven. I chose the Caramel Semifreddo with Chocolate Streusel. This dessert was so delicious and unlike anything I have tried before. Perfect balance of flavors coupled with a nice crunchy chocolate and caramel explosion in your mouth! They even wished me a happy birthday in chocolate! Next time I am in Little Rock, I will definitely come back to One Eleven. My experience on that fine August Arkansas evening was simply divine.

Beautiful service, amazing food, and friendly faces! I ordered the Sea Bass with wasabi mashed potatoes and edamame and it was absolutely incredible! It's a great place for a Sunday brunch or a fancy dinner!
